Please note the weather forecast for Witney tomorrow, 16 December, is for light snow from 6am, heavy snow from 9am. Clearly there is no way of telling today what the conditions may be like tomorrow but the current position is that the school will be open as usual for the final day of term finishing at 12.30pm. Should the situation change I will provide further information via the school web site www.woodgreen.oxon.sch.uk and the local radio stations BBC Radio Oxford and Heart FM. In the meantime I would be grateful if parents would be aware that snow is forecast and make whatever fallback arrangements they consider necessary.
Students are asked to ensure they have appropriate outdoor clothing in addition to their school uniform and to exercise care travelling to and from school. Safety is paramount. In particular, sliding on ice and the throwing of snowballs is strictly forbidden because of the risk of accidents.
